Description of Lake Vinuela / Los Romanes and Local Activities

Los Romanes has it's own mini market, bar and very good restaurant, and there are more restaurants and bars in the villages around the lake, Vinuela, Puente don Manuel, Periana and Benamargosa. Velez Malaga is the place to be at Easter with it Santa Semana (Easter Week). The hot springs of Alhama de Granada are a short trip away and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Lake Vinuela is well stocked with Carp and Black Bass. Non motor water sports are also permissible on the lake. Torre del Mar just 20 mins away has miles of beach and is a hive of activity during the summer months, just outside of the town there is a large shopping centre with bowling, cinema and water park.  We have an excellent bar/restaurant about 1 kilometre from the house, it is a downhill walk so uphill on the way back! The views are fantastic and the peace and quiet unbelievable. Kayaks for the lake, and Quad bikes can be hired locally

If you enjoy a game of golf, then take advantage of the various golf courses such as Baviera Golf situated only twenty minutes from the villa.
Plans to implement another golf course will begin in 2007. This golf course will be 18 holes and will be almost a stones throw from the villa!
